Olu's Notes
I was going to call this page "Olu's Keep Notes," but I figured I'd rather not have Google send me a cease-and-desist notice and sue my sweet, fabulous self into oblivion. So, for now, I'm just gonna stick to the classic: "Olu's Notes."
So why notes?
Because 8 out of 10 times, there is something on my mind, and 15 out of 10 times, I am scribbling. So, it's no surprise Google Keep is one of the most-used apps on my phone, followed closely by Microsoft OneNote, each serving a very different purpose:
- Google Keep for the raw, incoherent brain leaks. Like the time I stumbled upon a random note that just said, "No." That's it. No explanation. No to what? No to working out? No to art galleries? (Maybe that because, well... a story for a different time)
- OneNote is where the chaos goes to get its life together. It's for the thoughts that made it past the impulsive scribble phase and survived long enough to get headers and bullet points, and the opposite of whatever I write in Google Keep Notes.
Why this page exists
Lately, my notes app has gone rogue, strewn with bits and fragments that are too random to organize and too ME to delete. Erasing them feels like scrubbing away pieces of my soul (or at least erasing the breadcrumbs to my weirdest inner monologues).
Most of these notes are too short to become essays, too quirky to toss. So now, these musings sit in my drafts, alive and, of course, haunting me.
So, I thought, why not publish them as notes? Exactly what they are!
On that note...
Welcome to my note dump, polished just enough to be Safe-For-Work.
