I've been writing for as long as I can remember, with my first serious piece being a letter to my sister’s teacher (whom I’d never met) when I was in primary school. Of course, it got delivered and he’s now an important part of my family.

Since then, writing has been many things to me—a job, a skill, and perhaps most importantly, a way to untangle thoughts, understand myself, and make sense of the world around me.

As Dung Kai-cheung puts it: "Writing is a way of understanding yourself. To write, you have to have a deep understanding, you have to go through this process of sorting out what you think and what you feel so as to write it down. It’s also a good way of understanding your relationships with other people."

So here I am—writing, learning, and figuring things out, one word at a time.
